As per regulations, in order to treat dental patients within the UK you are required to have a GDC registration.

If you are a dentist from the outside of the UK, you can still enrol on the course if you can submit a proof of your dental registration from your country. If you are not registered with the GDC we cannot let you undertake the Practical Element and treat patients on the course; however, you will still be allowed to undertake the Online Theoretical Element.

Not being able to treat patients under Clinical Supervision means that as an international dentist you will not be able to complete Key Competency Assessments for the Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma and so cannot be awarded a qualification.

The course is a Unique Blending Learning Programme – This involves both an Online Theoretical and a Hands-on Practical Element.

Theoretical Element – This involves lectures which are provided and assessed online over the course of 12 Modules, within your individual online portal.

Practical Element – This involves placing and restoring upto 10 Implants on Live Patients over 8 Clinical Days. The practical work is undertaken 1-to-1 with your chosen Clinical Supervisor.

The course is a Unique Blending Learning Programme – This involves both an Online Theoretical and a Hands-on Practical Element.

Practical Element:

This involves placing and restoring upto 10 Implants on Live Patients over 8 Clinical Days.

We have a network of Clinical Training Centres across the UK. These Centres are established Dental Practices and more details on each one can be found on the Clinical Training Map / Supervisors Tab above.

The patients are provided by your designated Clinical Centre and triaged by your Clinical Supervisor to ensure they are suitable cases for you.

The practical work is undertaken 1-to-1 with your chosen Clinical Supervisor. Once paired with your Clinical Supervisor, you will be able to arrange and organise the Clinical Days directly, to mutually suit both yourself and the Clinical Supervisor.

Yes.

We offer the opportunity to enrol on one of the complimentary Implant Masterclasses we run during the Calendar Year, should you choose.

During the Masterclass, you will have the opportunity to understand the Surgical Instruments and Anthogyr Surgical Kit and practice placing dummy implants on Models.

This is an optional day course and does not form as part of your Competency Assessment for the Practical Element of the Postgraduate Implant Programme.

We currently use the Anthogyr Implant System.

As a responsible Education Training organisation focused on providing high quality implant training, at Implant Conneqt we decided to keep the implant system fixed within the course. The implant system is selected by the Clinical Leads and is based on the research that the implant is based on.

This doesn’t mean there aren’t any other systems with a similar quality product.

Yes.

As a Student Delegate on the Implant Conneqt programme, you are able to choose your Clinical Supervisor should you wish. This is subject to their availability to accommodate a student at the time. As a default, we look at geographic position of the Clinical Supervisor and yourself, the student, to facilitate the logistics for the Clinical Days.

The patients are provided by your designated Clinical Centre and triaged by your Clinical Supervisor to ensure they are suitable cases for you.

If you would like to treat your own patients, you can bring them to be treated on one of your Clinical Days. However, this must be first agreed with your Clinical Supervisor to ensure it is a suitable case for you. Any patients that are brought onto the Clinical Days would have to pay the fees determined by your appointed Clinical Training Centre in order to be treated on their Postgraduate Student Clinic. Any payments from your patients would be made and retained by the Clinical Training Centre.

Yes, but only under Supervision with one of our Clinical Mentors from the Implant Conneqt Mentoring Programme, whilst on the course and before completion.

During the course, we encourage you to find patients that would require dental implants so that you can transition your Clinical Experience seamlessly into your practice.

If you would like to treat your own patients in your own practice to gain more Clinical Experience, this can be arranged and form part of your log book but not substitute one of your Clinical Days. You will still be required to do 8 Clinical Days with your Clinical Supervisor.

Treating your own patients whilst on the Course would be done via Implant Conneqt Mentoring Programme.

Payments for the Clinical Mentoring would be made directly from yourself to the Clinical Mentor.

Please note your Indemnity / Insurance would need to reflect this and have to be arranged and in place by yourself prior to any Clinical Mentoring.

The course is a Unique Blending Learning Programme – This involves both an Online Theoretical and a Hands-on Practical Element.

The practical work is undertaken 1-to-1 with your chosen Clinical Supervisor. Once paired with your Clinical Supervisor, you will be able to arrange and organise the Clinical Days directly, to mutually suit both yourself and the Clinical Supervisor.

You will be required to have the correct level of Indemnity / Insurance to cover you for the Practical Element of the Implant Conneqt Course.

This may involve contacting your provider and ensuring correct cover to include the placing and restoring of Implants on the Implant Conneqt PgCert course under Supervision. The cost will be based on your relationship and record with your Professional Indemnity / Insurance.

As an Educational Organisation, we have no influence over this and cannot enrol you onto the Implant Conneqt Course without adequate Professional Indemnity / Insurance Cover.
