Adele Holland

I began my career in dentistry in 2007 where I quickly developed a passion for the industry.

I have spent many years being lucky enough to work alongside some of the best clinicians in the UK, training and gaining knowledge in all areas and aspects of dentistry. Over the years I developed my skill set and taken on the roles of Treatment Coordinator, Head nurse, Compliance Manager and Implant Coordinator, expanding specifically in implantology and surgical procedures. Later in my career I began leading courses for clinicians and nurses in implantology, specifically in asepsis, full arch and immediate loading. I now lecture and train other nurses in all areas of implant dentistry.

I have gained post qualifications in radiography, intravenous sedation, practice management and dental implant nursing.

Registered Dental Nurses who would like to be more involved with patient care.

Implant Dentistry is a highly advanced, specialised dental skill which is now a widely available treatment across the UK and overseas.

In order to gain the most from the course, if you are a Dental Nurse working within the UK, it is advised that you have a GDC registration.

If you are a Dental Nurse from the outside of the UK, you can still Enrol on the course if you can submit a proof of your dental nurse registration from your country.

You can enrol anytime in the year and start anytime in the year. There is no set start date but you have 1 Year to complete the course from date of enrolment.

The Implant Nurse Training Course has been designed and specifically focused to give flexibility to Dental Nurses, to allow you to work around work and family commitments, but also allow you to elevate your skills.

On completion you can apply your new skills immediately into practice.

The course is a Unique Online Blended Learning Programme – This means both the Theoretical (Modules) and Assessments are done online and Practical (Hands-on) done on one of the Course Days.

Theoretical Element – This involves lectures which are provided and assessed online over the course of 6 Modules, within your individual portal.

Practical Element – This involves a Half-Day Practical Hands-on session to apply the theory.

Assessments – This involves Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Single Best Answer (SBA) and True/False questions at the end of each Module and also in the End of Year Examination. There is also a Practical Assessment undertaken on the Practical Day.

All Implant Nursing courses will explore the basics of dental implants and how to set up a surgery using an aseptic technique.

This course aims to teach the more “untold” subjects relating to implant therapy such as how an implant nurse can assist to a much higher level by gaining more knowledge of medical contraindications, bone types, bone grafting materials and full arch implant therapy.

It will also encourage the implant nurse to have a better patient relationship and be more “involved” in the patient journey, learning how to monitor a patients expectations and monitor the patient throughout their journey.

It will also give you greater knowledge in medico-legal aspects of implant therapy.

Yes.

The Implant Nurse Training Course has been designed and specifically focused to teach the following Dental Nurses:

  1. Those who have little-to-no experience in Implant Nursing.
  2. Those who have previously undertaken an Implant Nurse Course and require a more relatable course
  3. Those who want a refresher in Dental Implant Nursing and to add it to their portfolio of skills.

We currently use the Anthogyr Implant System.

As a responsible Education Training organisation focused on providing high quality implant training, at Implant Conneqt we decided to keep the implant system fixed within the course. The implant system is selected by the Clinical Leads and is based on the research that the implant is based on.

This doesn’t mean there aren’t any other systems with a similar quality product.

The cost is £250.00 plus VAT (£300 Including VAT)

We do not offer a Finance Facility.

Payment must be done in full via BACS Transfer on enrollment.

There are no additional costs.

No. The Practical (Half-Day) is included in your Course Fee.

No. All the Materials for the Course Day are provided for you.

The Practical (Half-Day) will cover aspects you would have learnt in the Theoretical Component of the course, so any prior knowledge is useful.

We currently run the Practical Element in multiple locations so you can choose which location suits you better.

The details of the Venues can be found on the Practical Study Day Tab above.

You will be required to have the correct level of Indemnity / Insurance to cover you on completion of the course and when practicing in your working environment.

This may involve contacting your provider and ensuring correct cover to include your new skill set. The cost will be based on your relationship and record with your Professional Indemnity / Insurance.

As an Educational Organisation, we have no influence over this.
